Just a Teenager

“Babe! Is there a problem?” he asked politely, even though he was getting irritated.
“N..o” she said, looking down.
“What the Fuck! Tell me what’s going on!” he roared. She got up and started running towards the place that would no longer be her home.
Fairy tales start with a long time ago…, so is this one? I would say yes and am I part? I know you don’t care but yes I am. So here we go.
A long time ago lived a princess named Cinderella, oh! Sorry!, Amber and she was just a girl rather, she wasn’t much tall, wasn’t much short, wasn’t much pale, wasn’t much dark, she wasn’t too skinny, wasn’t much fact. You want to know what she was? Perfect I would say. Her parents were good but then again that depends on how you define good. This is not a fairy tale yet, sadly life kicks in too. You see Amber was unique, even though nobody was giving her the rights to be, I will tell you why.
Amber had problems, not little but big ones. Her problem was that her problems were not problems to other people (I suggest you read that again) but all that they were, were Teenage Problem’s that Teenagers face, they’ve got books, shows, compositions, reality shows on that, these days even shrinks are an expert on teenagers (I mean do they got school on that too). So this was Amber’s problem. If she got acne or frustrated or angry or sad, It was all a big teenage problem!! No big deal honey! Go find that book, attitude adjustments or how to open up or how to face the teenage life! So great isn’t it!
So this was Ambers problem. Once she had a boyfriend and they kissed. After two days they broke up, Amber was sad and disappointed, such a natural thing to be! Oh! Forgive me, such a teenage thing to be.
So this is what happened. One day Amber took a blade and slit her hands, both of them and she died. Well, no, that would suck right! But she did slit both of her hands that’s when I came.
Don’t worry this is not a love story. I am Rory, the prince! (that sucks) That day when she slit her hands and was alone I came to her home looking for her, we had a project to do you see and I knew they always kept their back door open. I saw her there and was horrified, so I called a ambulance.
She was taken after that. They asked me if I was a family member and locked the door and went away.
After that I don’t pretty much know what happened, I don’t know if she died or was alive. But I did care, I tried her number which was always switched off, I don’t think her parents consulted a book at that point, at least I hope not because that’s what killed her, the tags.
After a week, at 3 in night, somebody threw a pebble at my window, one after the other, I first got scared but after that I just didn’t want the window to break and thus looked out to find her all wet (P.S. it was raining). So I told her to come at my back door.
The first thing I opened the door to find that she slapped me, she was so angry that day.
“You…..You!! You little Piece of shit, you bastard!” I did save her life, this was not the reaction I was hoping for.
So I calmed her down and invited her in my room so that, my parents didn’t wake. At first she was pissed off.
“You bastard, if you didn’t save my life that day, I wouldn’t have gone through all this!” she said.
“I thought I helped you” I said.
“No you didn’t Rory, you made it worse” Then I noticed she had a big bag pack with her.
“What’s up with the back pack” I asked.
“I am running away from hell, from being a teenager”
“No! You can’t do that, please don’t” I begged helplessly. But she never agreed.
“Then let me come with you” I told her.
“You would do that for me?” she asked me.
Well, I pretty much hated my life too. I was a geek. I got bullied practically every day and my parents never really cared for me.
I could tell you more. I could tell you that we ran to New York and I worked at star bucks and lived at a monastery for 2 and a half year. I could tell you that Amber became a Doctor. And that I became a Manager at an automotive company. We did fall in love. We never met our parents ever again, they never looked for me but they looked for Amber for a long time but after that they decided that she must have suicided, but I never heard about a funeral too.
But that doesn’t matter what did matter that, almost 15 yrs both of us lived a lie. Not because of what we were but because what people considered us to be. These days it grows more and more and more, you go anywhere and you get tagged, for any reason whatever. And this grows on……….

Why is it your fault when you did nothing wrong?

Hey! Hi Namaste this is Tulip Roy. How many times have you caught yourself in a situation, where you literally did nothing and got blamed for it? Maybe you were trying to be good and help? Maybe you thought a little extra for betterment but ended up as a loser? Well, it happens to me every day and for some or the other reason I can’t really explain myself because its always my fault one or the other, are you like me? So guess what I have got just the thing for you.
Now let me give you an example, you meet a person and get close to him/her, then you share your personal stuff and so does that person, so you tell something about their personal stuff (as they clearly said about yours) and it turns up against you as an evidence of you being guilty, where as you just wanted to be good, helpful or maybe the opposite of bastard, that it made you!! The same is for someone that bullies you, maybe in school or in office or in family etc. it’s all same!! Its never your mistake but always your fault!!
Having you ever thought about standing up? Maybe you did, didn’t you? And now its your fault because you stood up. Do youy get me? Well enough of the problem I will give you solution. So here you go (If one doesn’t work, try another one):
1.  No reaction = No action: This is my best solution, was in school and so is now. You see a person irritates you or bullies you or tells on you, when he/she is extremely jealous or irritated of you (Not because of something you did, mostly because of your post or appearance or achievement). You see he/she tries to bring you down by it, so what you do is ignore, if his irritating you doesn’t affect you than its of no use, he will someday get tired on leave it, you know like one of those toys you hit and it stands rite up and doesn’t fall, that toy is you, someday this is going to irritate the shit outa him/her. So what this means (initially) is to ignore. If you ignore you give no reaction and if there is no reaction, there will (hopeful) be no action. If this doesn’t work, skip ahead.
2. Get some distance: yes, try to ignore this guy, if you tried the first one, then ignore, he/she gets you in trouble and when you don’t react to it all he still continues, he/she is a sick! So try n get some distance, try staying away, you know- walk away or sit far away, stuff like that. It
always works.
3. Get Dirty: did solution 1 and 2 didn’t work then you have to get your hands dirty, you gotta play dirty. You get in trouble because of no valid reason when you are trying to be good and what do you get?? Trouble, that’s what you get. So now you gotta lie, make a plan, dirty your sleeves and bring him down. Make a good plan to teach him/her a lesson but remember your plan should be solid and leak proof or it will backfire. All the best!
4. Be immune: did plan 3 backfire?? Did you get caught? Well guess what, your life sucks!! How could you not make a good plan? Well here’s a solution, you gotta play dirty but if you get caught, you gotta become bad. You got caught, you gotta take the blame and get strong!! You gotta play dirty and be dirty! You gotta be immune to all the trouble and play dirty as its only worth!!
5. Isolation: Did nothing work? Well that’s just sad, now you gotta apply the last technique. Keep people away, make them care less about you, keep them at your tips and be rude, that way, they can never really cause trouble to you. You gotta isolate people around you, keep them at a brisk, that way you stay strong and never get hurt from disappointment.

You got to pay a price to be good, so don’t be! Be a asshole, that’s how people appreciate other people, if you become all nice and good, people step on you, stay away from people, they don’t do any good, they are there for only 2 reasons-
1.  Personal gain
2.  Entertainment from you
Well you wanna know one more truth- all people aren’t like that, sometimes people need a chance too, keep your mind open and be bitch, be respected.

P.S. Thanks for reading, I would love a comment! Did this help? Tell me, comment down!!

Lansdowne- Uttarkhand

Hey! Hi Namaste this is Tulip Roy. As exotic it may sound there so much more to than that. Lansdowne is just one of hill stations you need to cool down and enjoy your life with leisure and amazingly it has so much to offer you other than leisure. So come with me on this journey.

Now I would say if you are going to Lansdowne, give it 2 days, not more, not less. If you ask about the time, than any time works, any season works, it’s always a pleasant atmosphere here, be it summer or winter, oh! You would love it in Monsoon. Though try to go in summer, the locals favor it more.

Some facts to know is that, you have to walk a lot if you want to get anywhere here, other is that everything is owned by or controlled by the military, so you would love it all, the cleanliness, the peace, the arrangement, all the places here. If you are going in summer, try to take as much as comfortable clothes cause it won’t be that hot and you gotta walk a lot.
How to get there
You initially have to get to Kotward, you can get a bus or train from Delhi to Kotward. From Kotward, Lansdowne is 42 km, you can get a cab from the station to Lansdowne which will cost you around Rs.70. you can return the same way.

These cabs will drop you at Cannt Market, which is the main area of Lansdowne, you should stay here and will get cheap hotels and costly ones too. You can also take your own personal car to Lansdowne if you live in or near Delhi, from Delhi Lansdowne is almost a drive of 5 and a half hours, I would advise you to take a small and good car as many of the tourist destinations, which (you should) you will be visiting, will have really small and steep roads.

Stay
I would advise you to stay at one of the 2 places, first one is in Cannt Market, this is like the capital of Lansdowne, it has the market to support and thus is a good area to stay. I stayed at Mayur hotel, which had a luxuries hut on the top, it was really nice and personal hut (just like having your own house).
It cost me around RS. 2,500, you can bargain. Apart from that you can also take rooms which will not cost you much.
The second one I recommend is stay at The tourist rest house at tip n top( I will tell you about this later, it is an tourist attraction which overlooks the whole view of the valley) which is again owned by the military, you can get huts here at the same cost of Rs. 2,500.

Rooms here are cheap

The main Tourist Attraction
Now there are 9 tourist attractions here, the ones I omitted are not really worth to see, but there are some that I added. All of the places here I mention here should be visited for a complete outlook of Lansdowne’s beauty.

Cannt Market:  If you already aren’t staying here, this is a small and local market; it has a steep, lowering. The market is cheap and small stuff such as key rings etc is available here. You have to once visit here because there are 3 things to see here, one is the Gandhi Park, which isn’t much, it isn’t even open. For the other 2, read futhure.

Shree Kaleshwar mandir: This is a temple for the military, it is just down the road of the Cannt market (ask a local). The way to it is really gorgeous and it’s a small cute little temple of god Shivji. Inside the temple there are several small bells which people have hanged, each for a wish to be granted. You can put your hand on the starting point of the bells and walk, for them to ring one after another in symphony. One more reason you should visit here is, that you would like the ambiance, which isn’t much, but the journey is enough. This temple is visited and mainted by the religious military guys, they come here often to pray, if you come here in the morning at 7, then you can catch a whole lot of them!! Do visit once!

Gurudwara : This is small Gurudwara (temple of the Sikhs) also owned a Punjabi military guy, this is open 2 pm in the afternoon to 7 am in the morning. In between its closed as the guy goes for work. Also small and cut and a must visit if you are living in Cannt Market.

St. John Church : This is a small and warm church. It is almost empty, you would love it here, there are so many flowers here that you would brighten up. There is a register there, in which you can write your name and whereabouts and comments about the church, do visit once great place to take snaps and sit down in holy presence for a moment of peace. If you have a car then directions for all the tourist attractions are everywhere.

St. Mary Church: This church is more smaller than the first one but it has more to offer you than the first, if you reach in a good time you can see a movie inside about the history ( Rs. 10 per person) and buy a guide to Lansdowne. It is not at much a distance from the first church.

Tip in top: as the name suggest it is point (here is where The tourist rest house is situiated) where you can see the whole of Lansdowne, it is gorgeous, and a great view, you can take a lot of snaps. The view is magnificent and will want you to believe in

well, something.
1. Bhulla Tal: This is a small and cozy lake, the water is cold and beautiful. Near the lake there is a school too. You can boat here (Rs. 50 per person) there is a lots to eat here. If you have kids, they will be happy to come here as there is small park, rabbits, guinea pigs and also ducks in the lake. This is nice place to hang out and have lunch.

1. Bhem Pakora: Now comes the grand finale, the funny part about this is that it isn’t even grand. Now if you have a small car like maybe an alto, then you can go down the small and step roads that lead you to Bhem Pakora. Now what is it? It is a rock on a rock, which vibrates, when you push it, I did it!

But what’s grand is the 1.5 km of walk on this amazing little road. You have to walk here and feel amazing, this is really amazing and a real hard work to get to rocks that vibrates. Here you can get a lots of Chuttis, which feel from these amazing shaped trees, you can collect a bunch here.

Others
Lansdowne is a really beautiful, little hill station, which is military controlled. The animal here, dogs have so much fur and look so good that you would want to steal one home. The people are good. The food here is only of the hotel, the taste is not much spicy but good. The only things you get on road to Lansdowne is a maggi corner, which is very small and owned by a very humble and sweet guy. I would say do visit here once if you can, its worth it!!

P.S. thanks for reading, I would love a comment! Thanks!

Reasons to hate the Mother in How I Met Your Mother

Hey! Hi Namaste this is Tulip Roy. You know I am a great fan of how I met your mother and actually cried in the last episode(No I didn’t). I love each character of HIMYM, so here are some more reasons to love HIMYM.
1. You got to love Barney!! He is amazing- he invented the bro-code and the playbook, which’s greatest play is the last one, where he ends up getting the prize i.e. Robin. You know I should have done reasons to love barney instead!

2. Robin’s so cool. She has a great body and can make superb conversation, I love her “lie voice” and her friendship with lily.

3. You gotta love lily! I love the way she fantasizes about getting in bed with robin which is so cool and her relationship with marshal is so perfect!
4. You just can’t hate Marshall in anyway!! You can find one reason to hate those previous character, but you can find that in Marshall, I love his height and wish I could jump in his arm’s instead of lily.

5. I love the innocent Ted, love his passion for work and the way he loves Robin and is always there for her and love how he is always the one alone.

Now I will tell you why I hate one of the most important of HIMYM, the mother!! So this is why I hate her. Even thought she is sweet and perfect for Ted.

1.  Her looks, I hate it!! Like a little version of lily.
2. She is the reason HIMYM ends.
3. I thought always thought Ted would have a catch, not her!?
4. Hate her voice, like mi mi mi mi mi mi
                 So now you get it!!
P.S. hey guys your comments matter!!! Please comment thanks!

Things to look out for in Connaught Place- (Delhi)

Hey! Hi Namaste this is Tulip Roy. Do you know how many times I have been to Delhi? Guess what, even I don’t remember! I was born here, even thought I was bought up in Bombay, enough of this. So tell me, what comes to your mind when you listen to the word Delhi, masala (spice), food, love, and tradition? Well in fact that is the real Delhi, so know what I will tell you exactly about that I will tell you about the heart of it all, heart of Capital of India, Cannught Place.

How to get there
Well if you are coming from train, New Delhi is your station, CP is like 5 minutes from there. If your coming from Metro, Rajiv Chowk is your stop. If your coming from near Phar Gang, you can take a bus that will leave you to CP.

Things to look out for
Well initially for tourist it’s a place to shop ad satisfy their stomachs, but it is actually a place people come to work. CP is like a merry go round so mark places that you have been, it’s a bit like Esplanade (a place in Kolkata, if you know). There are 3 place you should go in CP:
1.  Janpat: It’s a great place to shop in CP, it has the best clothes to offer you and it of course changes as the weather, if you are going in winter you will get great jackets and coats all in very cheap, if you are going in summer you will get a great spring collection, remember bargaining works like hell here, if he offering a shirt you like in Rs 600, it will come down to Rs 200 - Rs 250. Things like sun glasses, (If you are buying you should buy one sunglass in Rs 100, don’t be fooled otherwise) jewelry like bangles and necklace and funky in fashion accessories, bags, shoes, hair accessories, puppets, bed covers, they have great shalls and strolls etc are a few of things Janpat has to offer, so do visit.
2.  Palika : it is an underground market which sells clothes and electronics. Electronics are the main attraction. You should visit once and if you are in Delhi in a hot time and wanna cool down you can come here and cool off in a fun way, as it has AC and great stuff. On the head of Palki there is a park which now has India’s biggest flag, it’s a proud site and really patriotic but apart from that, a great place to sit and have fun.
3. Hanuman Mandir : Hanuman mandir is a temple of the monkey god Hanuman (and even if you are a big fan of automobile, he is the god for that too, so if you wanna keep your car accident free, you better make him happy!). This temple has the real mix of tradition, outside you can eat lots of stuff like  and drink one of the best tea in Delhi with mathi.

General

There’s great food around CP, I would advise you to keep your eyes open on that! N do visit Coffee Home which is opposite of the hanuman Mandir. I know you might have heard about Regal cinema, word of advice it ain’t much! You would love CP more if you love books!!

P.S. Thank you for reading! I would love a comment!!

Hyderabad – City of Pearls

Hey! Hi Namaste this is Tulip Roy. I recently visited Hyderabad and before going I was actually surfing about it and realized, there is nothing good enough on the internet and not anything that can actually help you to travel Hyderabad, but trust me this will n its all straight and no misinformation.
Hyderabad generally know as the City of Nizams, is popularly called City of Pearls. This city with the fusion of new and old custom and different religion and is an exciting place to be in. To follow history and controversy about her, Hyderabad was first ruled by the Qutub Shahi dynasty, after freedom - a princely state, not annexed in India but the Nawabs, this happened to stay for a long time, first Hyderabad was the capital of Andhra Pradesh, now a shared capital of both AP and Telengana. I would say don’t get into the mess of knowing about all this.
Now in general, you can divide Hyderabad in 2, old and new, look at it like this, from the main station of Hyderabad called Hyderabad Deccan (Nampally), from there right is the old Hyderabad and left formally known as Secunderabad, is the new part.
To be clear, it’s always hot in Hyderabad, be winter or be summer, don’t go in the time of May because you will fry up, try around in the winter months of November to February, this will be the best time to go.
I would say, to see the whole of Hyderabad stay in between i.e. Nampally which is the area out of the station of Hyderabad Deccan, but do decided on your own about that later when you read the whole article. Now these are a few places that you should visit if you are in Hyderabad, I would say that if you want to go see ALL the  historical places, the major tourist attractions are :-

1. Golconda Fort – Historic places and ruins
2. Charminar – The City’s major landmark
3. Nehru Zoological Park – One of the biggest zoo’s in India which houses all exotic species.
4. Mecca Moque – Major worship centre
5. Paradise [ eatery ] – World famous Biriyani
6. Banjara Hills – Posh and hap can be easily Hyderabad’s Manhattan
7. Hussain Sagar – Beautiful lake that house a gigantic monolithic statue of Buddha

But if you wanna go cheap and practical, which is visiting the place that you actually should see, read ahead….

Charminar
From Nampally, you can get a tuk-tuk to Charminar in about Rs 50/-, you can also get a bus from around almost anywhere to Charminar look down, I say go in the evening around the time of 5-6 pm, this is the best time, it won’t be too hot or cold and the sun would be still up. In general you can go up in the Minar, its beautiful and worth to look at but the thing to look for here is the wonderful and AMAZING bazaar. You can get many different things. In shopping what is to look for is

1. Jewelry : Be pearl or artificial you will get amazing jewelry here and these are amazingly cheap, do not go inside the shops and buy from the streets, you will get a lot of pearls here but think twice before entering the shops for real pearls, there is whole lane of bangles here, beautiful but not cheap. I bought this, it’s like a decoration for hair, if you like it look out for it.

2. Etar: These are the small bottle of perfume which have a strong everlasting fragrance and looks like this

If you go to Hyderabad you have to buy this, you cannot not buy this. It will cost you Rs.25 to around Rs.60 depending on the quality and fragrance, trust me it’s worth and it smell’s great.

3. Food: There is all kind of food around. I sincerely believed that the sugarcane juice in Bombay (where I live) is the best and I was right till a few places but damn! Sugarcane juice is too good here and try pani puri and all, it has a different and good taste.

4.Footwear and other: I didn’t buy any footwear but you can if you like it, the cost is cheap. You can buy surmadani (sur-me-da-ni), it is where you keep kajal and its really gorgeous and looks like this

Nehru Zoological Park – The Zoo

Seven kms away from Nampally Railway Station , situated at Bahadurpurak, Nehru Zoological park is the one place you cannot miss to if you come to Hyderabad. It’s green, spacious and because all animals are sponsored by people the animals here are surprisingly (cause of the temperature) in a wonderful situation. You cannot come to Hyderabad and not go to this Zoo.

You can take a city bus to the Zoo which will cost you Rs.13 and normally it’s the last stop. The bus number would be 49z and the bus will let you back too. If you are taking a tuk-tuk it should cost you Rs.100 to max. Conductor will let you know when it comes. The info. you need to know is below, I really enjoyed and made a natural tiara, which looked gorgeous and stupid!

Paradise
Get ready to eat Hyderabads world known delicious Chicken Biryani, if you are a vegetarian, I am so sorry for you cause vegetarian isn’t the best at paradise.
Now basically there is a Wikipedia on this hotel and it’s the first time, that I have seen a place, so well know for a hotel in it but know what the hotel it, deserves it.
To get there any bus with 8 or 5 on it be 8c 8m etc will take you to the place from where Paradise is a 5 minutes’ walk and will return but I don’t think you  would be able to take a bus as you will be so full with good food.
The price is good, if you go in the afternoon which is the best time you would have to wait for your order. The service is good and do try a sweet dish there called Kubani ka metha, do not miss it

Abids
This is a kind of a shopping lane, which is almost 1.5 km from Nampally. Go in night time to see this market at its peak. You can buy hundereds of stuff from here. Abids has a mall which is pretty lame, stay outside on the street I would say. When you are entering Abids there is an Iskcon temple, if you don’t know what is an Iskcon temple you wouldn’t actually need to see it but I will tell you anyway, it is chain of Krishna conscience temple, it has branches almost everywhere in India and even abroad, the Iskcon here at Abids is beautiful and also has a guest house, it just near Manyavar.
Abids is great for shopping you can buy almost everything here, from bags to electronics to shirts to furniture almost everything, it is worth one times visit but remember at night only!

Hussain Sagar
Hussain Sagar simplified is a lake with a beautiful and big statue of Buddha in between. Initially it is 4-5 km away from Nampally and you can get a bus or tuk-tuk.
I would advise you again to come here at night as it looks magnificent at night. There is a cruse the whole day back and fro to the Buddha, it must cost around Rs. 70-80 per person depending on the day you go.

I would say that if you are in Hyderabad do visit Hussain Sagar once!

Banjara Hills
This in fact is the best place in Hyderabad that could be as paush as it can be, Banajara Hills is the one place you wouldn’t dare to miss. It has 2 malls with 4 yards of distance called GVK1 and City Center.

Go to the GVK first. It’s a 5 km distance from Nampally, the tuk-tuk should cost you around Rs.70, GVK is a superb mall, with all the best brands and an amazing theater, you cant get a mall possibly better than this (in Hyderabad)
City center mall is small and sweet, go good for one visit and has a great food court.
There is Hard Rock CafĂ© in GVK1, it totally rocks do visit it once for a drink. I saw movie at GVK and if you have the time, I recommend see a movie in it if you have the time, the insides’ of the theater just rock. (I saw Noah, I liked the movie it was good and if its still on I say go and see it, it has a ll the reasons for you to want to turn good or atheist!)

P.S. if you liked by blog, leave a comment. If I have any mistakes, I would love to hear the alternatives. Do tell me what you think of Hyderabad! Thanks
