Facebook Status

Hey! Hi Namaste this is Tulip Roy. I have a facebook profile and you can find me there to be     happy by the profile I have, at least I think I do and my over flowing friend request’s certainly justify me. If by any chance facebook started to pay on popularity status I would be satisfyingly paid but you know who it would make rich, people who love attention by any source of means, this article is about those people.
I am not a very private person but I do like the little privacy I own. If you got my account you wouldn’t find any inappropriate pictures or posts or comments or status, at least not now there used to be an era that would be me but not now. But some people do like to share a little too much. You know somewhere its fine but shows how insecure or foolish you are. In today’s world where break up and patch up are like eating breakfast and ending dinner, you feel like a fool to be following up even if it’s your own or your best friends.
Recently I saw a status that said (not the exact words)
“Yes you broke my heart and it hurt because I loved you but I won’t anymore as it is past. It WAS love”
Now this girl emphasized the verb “was” so much that 108 comments and 456 likes seemed to pass up a few, sorry that’s an understatement, a lot of comments of the guy she was talking about, some bad mouthing her, some empathizing her and some sympathizing.
Till what extent do you support this, frankly I think more of sharing your life what you really want to be is sympathized, you want people to know how sad you are, really? Is that what you want? I read somewhere that if you even pretend to smile, after a few times it will come natural, so that means this comes normal to her, this status of hers is cry of help, thus screaming in her every word for attention.
The next day they hooked up, she changed the status to happy ever after in love. Who’s the fool now? Do words like happy ever after or love makes any sense to these people, it’s for a fact that I know that they don’t make sense to me but I don’t brag about it online. All this seems illogical to me also one-o-one ways to catch attention schemes or simple foolishness.
I am sure you have seen the new add of Vodafone “I guess my life’s an open book, anyone can take a look, no secrets here to hide this is just me………….” Is it’s song. Anyway it is add in which shows a girl from break up to her happy life of happiness and how she shares it on “social media” i.e. facebook.
Do I like the concept? I love it but in sore, reality is not a nice place, people don’t think like that anymore. They have free brains they think, they understand and object.
You are a real person who lives in the real world, that is, if you’re not living in your bubble where life is a fairytale, the truth- it’s not! When you comment/ upload a status or post, it makes an impact on people about your
1. Character
2. Status (real life)
3. Sense
4. Level of intelligence
5. And of course the way you live your life.
I am not speaking like a grumpy old grandmother, I am no different I love life and love to share and I sure do not think about posting or commenting before I do it but I do it so that people won’t get to know too much, they don’t want to know if you have a cat or not, they don’t want to know if you use deodorant or not, they don’t care but what they do care is when they read tacky posts or comments that stays on their minds forever. So think before you facebook, think a bit, just a bit………..

P.S. that was one point of view I would love to hear another one. Please leave a comment and tell me what you think, thanks!
